The Hiland Sno-Jingle Story
Hiland Sno Jingle is prone to laughing bouts and the giggles.
his head and belly start to jiggle, becoming a jelly like wiggle,
titter becomes laughter, then as if he choreographed it,
he bobs, wobbles, belly flops down, tops over and goes round,
with cheeks rosy and aglow he rolls as his girth grows,
til he is covered with a new coat of snow,
sliding to an eventual stop, before his next skating act,
his hat always remains amazingly intact.
While he adores all things lighthearted and whimsical,
Hiland Sno-Jingle’s is also a scholar and ever quizzical.
For years he has tried to unravel the mysteries of snow history,
studying blizzards each night until the hour is late,
researching and relating to each flake’s wakes, drifts and fates.
His work never abates, for as he states “They are my mates.
Our stormy history will melt away if not set to dates.”
Each spring he lingers until the last flake dwindles,
eyes twinkling, he awaits the next season of snow sprinkles.
